We seek to work for peace and justice, to build relationships of mutual understanding and cooperation with other faith traditions as we live into God’s reconciling work in the world. Come share in comfortable, friendly opportunities to gather with members of the Muslim and Jewish traditions each month. We gather for worship, discussion, service, and fellowship. These rich experiences deepen our own faith and allow us to share with our neighbors in God’s inclusive all-embracing love.
On Sunday afternoon, St. Simon’s hosted an interfaith gathering focusing on “Welcoming the Stranger” sponsored by the Children of Abraham Coalition. A crowd of 200 people from different faith traditions listened as speakers from Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Sikh faiths talked of the importance of welcoming the immigrant in each of their traditions. It was a time of warmth and welcome as strangers became friends and we celebrated the love that God has for each of us.
