Dine With Nine

"Dine With Nine" groups are formed to help members of the congregation get to know each other better and to grow closer as a parish family. New groups are chosen each fall and meet monthly for a simple meal and fellowship in the homes of group members. For more information or to join a group, please contact Amy Stomper.

Women's Book Club

This club meets the first Thursday of the month at 10:00 AM and on the fourth Thursday at 7:30 PM, to talk about the "book of the month." Women of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to join in these lively and thought-provoking discussions.

Men's Book Group (MBG)

This group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM All men of the parish are welcome.

Feb 9th – Thomas Cahill’s How The Irish Saved Civilization

Lydia's Quilting Circle

The Lydia's Quilting Circle meets the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 9:30 AM to enjoy fellowship and share the artistry of their sewing. Members bring a "stitching" project. Contact Lorraine Charlton.

Women's Luncheons

The women of the parish have a spring and fall luncheon program designed to deepen their social connections, as well as their spiritual lives.

Brotherhood of St. Andrew

The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is a worldwide Anglican ministry for the spread of Christ's Kingdom, especially among men and youth. Our activities are centered in the disciplines of prayer, study, and service. The Robert G. Woodman chapter engages in our parish engages in a variety of activities, including:

Bi-monthly meetings for the study of books such as Celebration of Discipline: The Path to Spiritual Growth, by Richard Foster, and And God Spoke: The Authority of the Bible for the Church Today, by Christopher Bryan.
We collect the food and sundry items donated by St. Simon's parishioners and coordinate the delivery to the St. Nicholas Episcopal Church Elk Grove Village food pantry.
Arranging and hosting the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at St. Simon's.
Providing and preparing grilled main courses for the St. Simon's picnic.
Providing special financial assistance to needy parish families on an as-needed basis.

All men of the parish are invited to join the group from 8:00 to 9:30 AM on the first and third Saturday of each month in the church library for coffee and rolls, fellowship, and study. All-Parish Gatherings

Each year, the parish plans special all-parish fellowship activities. Generally, these include a parish picnic in the early Fall.
