Every Sunday evening youth grades 7-12 gather for an evening together full of meaningful conversation, sacred space, and of course, a TON of fun! Our nights begin with a meal together followed by skits, games, breakout conversation groups, and candlelit prayer circles. Youth Group is a great place to get to know other kids, ask the big questions, and to serve others.

Our “Seekers” program exploring confirmation is open to youth grades 7-12 who feel they are ready to go deeper into what it means to follow the way of Jesus. This year the program will be made up of a trinity of components: participation in Sunday evening Youth Group, serving during the liturgy, and sessions in the spring exploring what it means to confirm the vows made on our behalf at our baptism.
“If youth aren’t leading, they’re leaving.” Peer Ministry Leadership is both a model for youth ministry as well as a curriculum. This program that we will be using throughout the year in Youth Group provides resources to equip teens with skills for welcoming, listening, and helping their peers. Our youth staff has been trained in leading the program by Chad Senuta, Associate for Youth and Campus Ministry for the diocese and we’re very excited to empower the youth of St. Simon’s to be leaders for each other and for the church!
